Whatever Happened to Those "Blog" Moments?

Now that this blog is a year old, I have been thinking about a how it was then and how it is now.  When I began blogging, everything I saw or read became a potential target for a blog post. No one was exempt from being blog material.  I loved the feeling.  I'd excitedly shout "I should blog about that!"    Of course, my friends always agreed...they didn't have to sit down at the computer to compose something quirky or catchy!

Today, I am in the midst of some health issues and I struggle to see anything as blog fodder.  I can't seem to push myself to get back to my daily blogging routine - yet.  My eyes don't seem to be seeing the humor in things or the educational value of what happens in my life nowadays.

Do you ever have this problem?  Is the honeymoon over?  Well, no * it * isn't.  I love blogging.  I just feel icky and am in a funk.  I just wondered if I am the only one fighting this right now.  How do you get yourself out of it?

This nonsense post is just my way of staying connected to you all until something "meaty" pops in to my little head!  Let's hope that is reeeaaaal soon!  You shouldn't have to be subjected to my mindless ramblings for long periods of time.

  1. I have these spurts and I hate them! However, I've learned not to push myself and just wait for the mojo to flow back. Hang in there!

  2. I have them too and they do come back on their own. If you try to force it - it won't work. Brenda's right - don't push it. You can't force creativity.

  4. You will NEVER lose your "mojo", Pat. I think you have it permanently. I love reading everything you write, but I confess I too feel the same as the others. I lose the drive to write when I don't feel creative enough or just lazy. I am having medical issues as well (rotor cuff surgery) and will not be in the mood to get on my computer every day. I hope I get back into it soon. Keep writing..I, for one am out here reading your blog as much as I can.

    1. Sandy - Haha...working on it. Today was another day of feeling a little better. Even tho' I got winded after vacuuming, I felt renewed after sitting for about 30 minutes. That's new! Hallelujah!

  6. I get winded after dusting the upstairs. I then rest in order to continue on the bottom floor the next day! What I would give for just an ounce of energy!

  7. Pat, I am dealing with that funk right now. I have such a hard time posting, visiting, replying in a timely manner. Then I begin to feel unept and guilty about all the above.
I feel the need to take a break and complete some things, no, any one thing around this house.
    This too shall pass.
    Love and prayers, Ginger
