Counting My Blessings One Friend At-A-Time ~ Part Four

This is the fourth blog in a series dedicated to friends who have blessed my life.  I love introducing them to you and sharing a little bit about how special they are to me.

Today I want to tell you about Louisa, as I shall call her in my blogging.  I met her through a mutual friend who has her own chapter of Red Hat ladies.  Louisa belongs to her group and was recommended as a pet sitter/house sitter a few years ago.  That in itself was a huge blessing, to be able to travel and not worry about the dogs!  And, the dogs loved her as much as we did.

What I love most about her, though, is her love for Jesus.  Although she is beyond the age of most college students, she loves studying and auditing classes at Wayland Baptist University here locally.  Her knowledge of the Bible is impressive and our discussions are always educational as well as interesting.  I learn something every time we talk.

I see in Louisa a humbleness, patience, wisdom and so much compassion for friends of the human variety and the furry ones, too.  There was an instant bond between us and I feel as if we will always be friends.   She has a heart two sizes too big (as Dr Seuss might say) and made of gold!  Louisa is truly a blessing in my life and I thank her so much!
